Given 2009-09-16

While so many horror photos depict a violent act in progress or the aftermath of an incident, Love Violently, Kill Tenderly by ~JulianGraves shows the split second before, the final chance to stop before crossing over to the point of no return. It hit me like a slap in the face. It actually makes me feel quite sick (in a good way!) and I can't stop looking at it. ( Suggested by ~dressONbackward- and Featured by `RockstarVanity )

I closed my eyes in horror only to blink them open quickly to appreciate the beauty of this. I love the scene, the emotion, and words that are left unspoken in this photogenic description of… it is many things. Some un-named, but others are named. It reminds me much of my past relationship. Indeed we loved violently and killed each other tenderly. Love and hate mix and meddle with each other ‘til one is the other and the other is the one. Love and hate expressed in thoughts, words, and deeds. Never a regret though no matter what.
